WE ATTENDED BASEHABITAT SUMMER SCHOOL ON EARTH CONSTRUCTION

On Tuesday, July 6, part of the LAVA8 crew headed to Kuchl, Austria, for the BASEhabitat International Summer School 2025. Over the course of this two-week program, we dove deep into building with earth and plant fibers.

Together with 100 participants from all over the world, we used hands-on workshops to discover how natural materials can build a sustainable future.

We came away inspired to bring these principles into our own world of skatepark construction. From sustainable concrete alternatives to ecological additives, we are eager to bring these eco-friendly details into urban practice.
